Straight Up is a gritty, emotion-packed series that breaks old barriers and sets new standards. Shot in high-contrast, hand-held camera style each episode focuses on a unique group of teenagers – strangers to each other but connected by the neon glare of a local fast food restaurant. The stories move from arcades and malls, schools and local hangouts while the characters grapple with rumors, reputations, sexuality, friendships and their own mortality. As Straight Up delves further and further into these stories we come closer to understanding what motivates touches and moves each of the characters.
